'Hi! How are you today??'
...smile and nod...
'Not feeling well??'
...smile and nod...
'Sore throat??'
...smile and nod...
'Wow, must be pretty bad, huh??'
...smile and nod...
'Strep??'
...smile and shake... (gotta change it up a bit, right)
So then I let this little squeak out, which is more like a whisper, 'laryngitis'...
'Oh', they whisper back as they try not to look obvious as they take a step back.
'Not contagious', I hiss (well, it sounds like a hiss)
'Hope you're feelin' better soon', they whisper... that's the part I find funny, there's no need for them to whisper, they're not sick...
Then there's the flip side where because you smile and nod, and not say anything, they repeat themselves, but only louder! 'YOU SAY YOU'RE NOT FEELING WELL???!!!!'
...I didn't say anything- really.
